Okay, so our trash can was boiling over with maggots this week. I had to wait for the guys to empty the can this am before proceeding. Fist off, let me say that I think MAGGOTS are THE MOST DISGUSTING VILE creatures on earth. I don't know why, but just seeing them SKEEVES me out of my skin, and almost drives me to gag. :puke:

I put on the plastic boots, whipped out an old mop that I could throw away after using it to scour the can, and used my husband's secret pig cleaner to disinfect this live can. I dragged the hose and the can out to the far end of the yard and sprayed off moving things. :puke: Then I filled the can with water and dumped in the pig shit. Voila!! No more critters.

The can is now sparkling clean and in the trash can container safe and sound. I am very proud of myself, I thought I would spew during the cleaning process, but it was quite fast and easy. NO MORE MAGGOTS!!

when I was in charge of a hospital facilities department I went out to talk to the guy that was running the garbage compactor. The whole area around him looked like church steps after a wedding. The only problem was last time I checked rice didn't crawl and wiggle. I suggested to this young man that perhaps he should take a little time to clean up his work area.

The smell alone was enough to knock vultures off a honey wagon.
