I have a friend who lost her husband in February after a six month battle with cancer. She doesn't have a job; no degree yet. Three kids.
She bought a house down the street from me, cash and is moving in today.
BoyMidlo is friends with her son. In fact, he slept here the last two nights before the truck arrived.
Truck arrives today, with only the driver. No helpers.
Driver then 'hires' BoyMidlo, her son and another friend to offload the truck.
Now, frankly, he can use the money, plus, since we've nicknamed him 'Muscles', I'm not particularly worried that he will get hurt.
Still, I wonder what would happen to people who faced this who DIDN'T have their own 16yo son who had friends that were willing to help?
A single person simply couldn't unload a houseful of furniture. How can one person carry a couch up two flights? :wtf:
