It's a fucking beautiful day! August weather, where is thy sting?

1. It's coming....

We go back to school on Aug. 19. Kids report Aug. 25. Trust me, it will be stinkin' hot those 2 weeks.

It is positively gorgeous here in PA. Feels like a September day.

3. It's cold and rainy here....blah

Sucks. I want sunshine and heat again.

4. for the last 27 days, it has been right over Texas.

over 100 degrees, 27 days and 29 nights w/temp stuck at 80 or above.

Today we are only going to 96 w/ 50% chance of rain.

****edited to add**** In Texas, everybody else's August heat starts in mid June and lasts until end of September

5. We here in MS lucked up this past weekend. It was only

around 90 with little humidity. Today it is supposed to be around 80 since it is so rainy. Unheard of for August. The humidity is back though. But anything lower than 100 is welcome. It has been one yucky, sticky, hot ass summer.

6. yeah we are much drier than you. However, having grown up in KY/TN I understand

about any humidity less than 100 is a good thing. Usually the humidity and temp are the same in summer up there, but it does get cool at night. Down here we don't even get dew or fog except in October or March.

If your 100 % humidity is due to a good rain rolling in though it is a cause for celebration because it will cool things down.

The rumor is we have a front coming in.

I will believe it when I see and feel it.

8. me too. The nice long Texas fall is my favorite time of year. Even though my Big Tree

eventually sheds its leaves which means yard work, it is truly a pleasant time to be in North Texas.

10. we didn't get the cold front, temp dropped about 5 degrees, and we didn't get

any rain either. sucks.

I like 75 degrees and sunny! Don't jinx it! ;)
