Who was j.e. hoover's purported lover?
We were watching American Experience last night, and I thought that his companion was melvin purvis, but, that doesn't fit. I've been looking but must not be putting the right question into the search. Anyone know who it was?

LOL @ Melvin Purvis - he is acknowledged as killing Dillinger and Bonnie and Clyde.

2. Okay thanks
they were interviewing purvis's son about Dillinger, so I thought I must have been getting my wires crossed, or that he was deep in that closet.

3. NADAR!
Nadar was Hoover's boy toy. Mel Gibson is making it into a movie.

9. Wait, wait, wait, wait
Are we talking here about J. Edgar Hoover? Great American J. Edgar Hoover? I note that you are all posting men's names. You may not be aware of this, but J. Edgar Hoover was also a man. Clearly you are all mistaken somehow, because good Americans would never engage in that sort relationship, especially great American anti-commie heroes like Mr. Hoover. He, like I, would cram such urges so deep into our psyche, that the anger and resentment we feel toward society can only manifest itself in arrogance, lies, deceit and pettiness.

Sheesh. I'm surprised you all didn't know that!

Warm Wishes,
Matt
