1. Yes, Peter Steele

has an amazingly stunning voice...I got to see them live in spring of 97 up in Kansas...they were touring with Life of Agony at the time, and damn...Peter is HUGE man....

I personally like Christian Woman, Bloody Kisses, Angry Inch, Blood and Fire, and Black No. 9

3. I've got a couple of their albums

One of the few hardcore metal bands I really liked until Dethklok, but Type O was on the slow, melodic and goth/prog end of the spectrum rather than the fast, noisy and pseudo Satanic. Altogether a pretty interesting band with a unique sound.

Peter Steele must be a freaking giant. Saw them live once and the Alembic bass he was playing looked like a damned toy on him. It also seems pretty obvious that he was the vocal and appearance prototype for Dethklok's Nathan Explosion.
