'World's Greatest Dad' guilty on sex charge

PONTIAC, Michigan (AP) -- A Michigan man has pleaded guilty to sex abuse after being accused of wearing a "World's Greatest Dad" shirt to meet for sex with someone he thought was a 14-year-old-girl.

Thirty-three-year-old Daniel Allen Everett pleaded guilty Thursday in Oakland County Circuit Court to child sexual abuse and using the Internet to attempt child sexual abuse.

Sentencing is scheduled for August 21. Messages seeking comment were left for defense attorney Deborah McKelvy.

Authorities have not confirmed whether Everett has children.

The artical does not refer to any entrapment. Yes "to catch a predator" is entrapment, and that is just as bad as tasering.

14. It depends on how it's done...

but I think to argue that it's entrapment, the person posing as the 14-year-old would have to make the first mention of sex. If the dad did, then he's not going to be able to argue entrapment. (I don't watch those "predator" shows, but I'm almost certain that they make sure that every advance is initiated by the other guy. If the cop/MSNBC analyst initiates the contact or asks "What are you wearing?" they have to know that their case, more than likely, goes out the window.)
