Any suggestions where I could buy a portable reel-to-reel tape recorder?
I ran across a box of old reel-to-reel tapes I made during the mid to late 1960s and was wanting to hear them again. I need a small machine to play them on, and one that will operate at 1 7/8 ips (inches per second) speed.

I've called pawn shops who tell me to try thrift stores who will tell me to try antique shops who will tell me to try pawn shops...

No luck.

Any suggestions? (any DUers who have one they want to sell?)

3. Of course! I forgot about ebay!
I just thought I'd run out some Saturday and pick one up, but it appears I might have to buy one online!

Thanks! :hi:

6. I used one of those when I was in my "electronic music" stage!
I was a "modernist composer" during my first years in college (1971-75), and used 4-track sonys for my musique concrète works...

Man, does that bring back memories!
