The power was knocked out in my apartment last night and is still off, how is you day starting

About 2:30am a lightning bolt struck so hard in my neighborhood it knocked out the power and set off car alarms. It was such an intense strike it knocked out the stop light on the corner of my street.

3. Weather is beginning to scare me.

Seems like the whole northern half of the country is getting strange weather this year. Nothing would surprise me; I've never seen so much rain. My garden is doing poorly because it doesn't get enough sun!

That lightning strike must have scared the pants off you! I hope you have power by tonight.

6. My day began strangely.

I've been looking for a career change because my current career isn't working out. (I no longer enjoy my work and my employer, the industry leader, is taking the company in directions I don't think will be good for me or them. I'm looking to get back into the field my degree is in. My field of study in college was politics with a focus towards NPO management.) I just woke up and checked my email to discover I'm being headhunted for a job by an organization I have no respect for whatsoever. They are on paper a very-liberal organization and their issue is one I care deeply about, but they don't do anything. They used to do stuff but it got in the way of hitting up people on street corners for money, so they stopped. They would disagree with this assessment, however even 2/3 of their founders have no use for them anymore.
