and the right lettuce. Cheddar cheese, tofu crumbles bathed in taco sauce, tomatoes, black olives, avocado (or a nice cold dollop of guac on a fresh from the oven hot pizza), and a cold dollop of sour cream. Not Iceberg lettuce! (I realize I just made "Tex-Mex" out of pizza.)

Things that just don't belong on pizza (everything on the list that follows I have seen offered):

*Bacon (I'm going to get killed for this one so I'm getting out of the way up-front.)
*Pickles
*Most fruit but bananas, apples, cherries and citrus in particular.
*Harvarti
*Organ meats (Liver and Kidney)
*Baked Beans
*Salt Cod
*Breakfast Sausage (It was maple-infused too!)
*Anise
*Corn chips/Potato chips
*Ranch Dressing
*"Buffalo" Sauce
*Nacho cheese
*Tater wedges

*The entire "Mickey D" pizza offered by a local pizza joint: Pickles, Ketchup, Mustard, American Cheese, Hamburg, and Special Sauce (Thousand Island Dressing).

Generally though...I'm openminded. One of the best pizzas I ever had was gorgonzola, roasted onions, brie and balsamic reduction. No mozzarella, very little sauce.
