Wierdly fun day yesterday.

Went to flea markets with my brother who lives about 40 miles away.
His birthday ws last month, mine is next Saturday. We drove through an incredible tropical deluge thunderstorm that stopped as we got tothe flea market.
Bought a Thai carved wooden dancing woman tourist statue, possibly someone's souvenier from Vietnam R&R in Thailand from a drenched outdoor vendor for $5.Found 2 books I was looking for, near-new, for $8.
Also got large box of Chinese Jasmine tea and several instant soups (hot) from Chinese grocery, arabic bread,homus and homemade nougat candy from a Lebanese store and several bags of fruit and veg.

Drove home and found a letter (ad) from a funeral home.

My wife ate half my baklava.
Later, had to wrap the (110 lb) dog in a blanket becauwse he was shivering in fright from thunder.He soon fell asleep.

Great day.

1. Our old girl, Tanya, used to hate thunderstorms, too. During one very fierce storm

in Lincoln, NE we searched all over the house for her. We found her curled up in the bathtub!
