my boyfriend just called me from the er
he cut the tip of his finger pretty badly (he's a sous chef) and just called me from the hospital. he said it's not too serious and i shouldn't worry about it, but of course i'm going to worry at least a little bit about it.

i don't know what is going on with the universe right now, but i'm really getting sick of this shit x(

1. Hang in there
Kitchen injuries are easy to treat, because pros keep their knives so sharp the wounds stitch well and heal quickly. :)

2. i'm not terribly worried about it
but still a bit worried. he's completely non-plussed by it, but he'd also say it's just a flesh wound if his arm got torn off ;)

3. My dear kagehime...
Those wounds are easy to treat...

Try not to worry, sweetie...

It was an accident, nothing more...

A few stitches, and he'll be good as new, I promise...

5. I rushed a college friend of mine to the ER after he cut his fingertip off.
He was slicing cheese and slipped a bit.

Yes, he had to put up with jokes about the dangers of "cutting the cheese" for a few years. They couldn't reattach the tip, but he healed up without any noticeable disfigurement.

10. He did, but he was one of those good-natured guys who didn't mind getting teased.
I liked the guy so much, that I fixed him up with the woman who he eventually married, even though she kinda had a crush on me at the time. (I'm still proud of that decision)
