1. If it's after-market modded significantly...
that's low. I know a guy with a modded Subaru WRX appraised at $150k.

Bone Stock...

No doubt being sold by a speculator that thinks it is, or will be, worth that much with gas prices as high as they are.

Edit, that is more than it sold for new.

24. I always rent an economy car when I travel, but lately...
...I've had to fight Hertz not to upgrade me to a Canyonero or some other behemoth. They pretend to be all out of economy cars, until I use the little muscle my #1 Gold Extra Premium Super Duper Membership with Cheese gives me to insist. This has happened three times in a row now.

When you sit, walk, or stand.

15. I saw i the newspaper recently that year-old Civics are selling for MORE than new ones...
Edited on Thu Jul-31-08 02:24 PM by Redstone
What kind of fucking idiot would pay more for a year-old car than for a new one?

If only for the reason that a year-old car has one year less of warranty coverage left than a new one?

I don't get it.

27. I know
Edited on Thu Jul-31-08 04:48 PM by jasonc
the new ones are cheaper.

That is also on the list of cars my Fiancee wants. Luckily Toyota frowns upon dealers selling them above MSRP.

edit: but not used ones, I suspect there may be some trickery going on at some of these dealers that seem to have a LOT of used ones around...
