My dad called me at work to tell me that one of my nephews had been stabbed, and that he had to be airlifted to the hospital. He sounded really worried and we thought he might not survive. He called us with updates during the late afternoon/early evening. At one point, my nephew's kidney was thought to be bleeding. However, it turned out that the urine sample the hospital had made that discovery from belonged to another patient..my nephew never gave them a urine sample! I was actually getting ready to make a "lounge vibe" request here when my dad called to tell us that the wounds were superficial and that my nephew was going home from the hospital that night! He's going to be okay. As for the perpetrator, he is in custody and I have a feeling he will be spending a LONG time behind bars. My sister told me that Lake County (where this took place) is pretty tough when it comes to this sort of a thing. The perpetrator is my oldest nephew's ex-girlfriend's boyfriend (hopefully ex-boyfriend now!)
