You can get good deals, but it's also very easy to talk yourself into buying stuff you really don't need, because of the bargain prices.

I've bought a lot of wine from wine.woot. Some really excellent USA west coast wines, at very good prices, and the winemakers often show up in the forum to talk about the wines offered. I've learned a lot about wines there.

But woot.com is a fun deal site that normally runs one deal a day, often technology-related. Then every once in awhile they run a "woot-off" where they keep putting up new deals all day as they run out of the previous deal. And then, somewhere in the middle of the woot-off, they offer what they call a "random crap". Here's what wiki has to say about that: In lieu of typical product sales, Woot occasionally offers a $1.00 fukubukuro-like blind grab bag officially called "Random Crap". Its accompanying picture has lent it the name "Bag O' Crap" (BOC).
