(I have issues) Some parents (one actually) decided to start a PTA in our school despite the fact that there was already a group that met not under official auspices. I attended their first meeting and asked what their goals were. I never got an answer but they wanted money up front for insurance right away. WTF? I think she went on her over-achieving way to become president (natch) and I think they sold popcorn in the hallways.
I don't get forming organizations for no reason.
