I had my wedding dress fitted yesterday! (pic)

Be warned, it's a terrible pic with bad lighting, but you can sort of get the idea. :D

Just a month and a half until the big day!!! :wow:

The fitting was pretty comical because the lady was totally peeved that i'm not planning on wearing shoes... umm, we're getting married on a beach? She just kept saying "well, you'll NEED SHOES!" Sort of reminiscent of the caterer who told me i'd NEED CHICKEN even though we're both vegetarians. :crazy:

I think i'm going to do "half-up" hair, with flowers in it. I didn't get a veil - seemed like it wouldn't go with the casual atmosphere. Iza's aunt is a hairdresser so she's going to help me. :D

Iza is wearing linen pants and shirt, as are the groomsmen - but he'll have an ivory shirt and their's will be blue. I think they'll look great and be comfy too.

My dress was "vintage" (from the 60s, I think). It was not sleeveless and was sort of a tea color, but the idea/design was similar to yours because it it was very simple and lace over a sheath with clean lines.

The caterer was actually for a party we're having back here in OH, since the wedding will be so small. We're doing both of them veggie though - the Nantucket reception will just be a veggie cookout. I'm sure Iza's family from OH has no idea that such a thing is possible. :D

The caterer is actually for the party we're having back here in Ohio, for all the folks that can't make the wedding. For the wedding itself, we're just doing a cookout - no caterers involved. Just lots of veggie burgers, veggie dogs, salads, etc. My cousin and friend are going to be grillmasters. :D

We haven't sorted out the menu for the Ohio party, and yes, the caterers are generally clueless. We're just doing hors-d'oeuvres and desserts though, so that makes it a bit easier than a full dinner.
