Wolf spiders are so neat though. I had one in a house I lived in years ago and I swear it was like a pet. She/he would wait till I opened the front door and it would run in or out. Once I watched an alligator lizard chase it back in and yes, the lizard was in hot pursuit. They made several laps in the living room when the spider hopped up on the fireplace mantel then stopped to look back at the lizard who had lost track of the spider. The spider looked so relieved - it stood up on its feet and stretched - It was so damned funny!

That spider kept my place bug free for about two years. :)
