3. He was my favorite as a kid, in comic books. Spiderman was a close second.
Someone accused me of liking quixotic heroes.

4. They can be a little more interesting sometimes, a little more fun.
Then again, maybe that's just me. I like superheroes who are a little complicated, heroes who have conflict and vulnerability. It's easier to relate to those heroes.

5. Batman isn't a super-hero; he is a super-athletic mere mortal.
Superman is THE super-hero.

7. Supes is a good guy and all...
but he does what he does when he's invincible 99% of the time. Batman doesn't have that luxury. He goes toe to toe with the same villains Supes does, but without the knowledge that he can survive a bullet to the face.

Anyone who can take on a supervillain is a superhero, powers or not.

11. Agreed. He can stand up and face anybody any super-powered hero can...
...and he can beat them all with his skills, his intelligence, and his instincts. There's something to be said for a man who can rely only on the gifts he was given as a mere mortal (as well as the gifts he bought himself by being super rich) to survive fights against psychopaths and super-powered foes alike.

Plus, he has his own inner demons to deal with. Superman doesn't have a lot of those - not that I dislike Superman, but he's not that interesting sometimes.

definition, just because!

than Iron Man, Steel, Green Arrow, Green Lantern... none of those guys have powers.
