18. are these best places to live if you want your suicide to be as depressing as possible?
Naperville was #3, and I can attest to it being one of the more god forsaken places on this earth. In the years I lived in southern California, I can't remember if I ever went to Irvine, which doesn't surprise me, but I somehow know that I hate it.

23. should I know that song?
Sorry.... I'm sort of clueless sometimes.

My girlfriend is moving to San Diego, and I'm driving there with her this summer. I'm none too pleased... I know that it's better than if she were moving to riverside or something, but it's still a downer. This is coming from France, where she has been living for the past two years. Going to visit her there = greatest times of my life. Going to visit her in San Diego = being in San Diego.

20. It is
there is a really cool park there with a HUUUUUUUUUUGE wooden play structure, I used to go there as a kid.

They also have a tractor that pulls a a "train" of cars behind it as a shuttle from the plaything to the beach.

9. Oh ick. You made me look.
I clicked the "Top Earning" tab and found two of my neighboring towns (Lafayette and Danville, CA) on the list--well, not exactly neighbors but close enough to be where we shop and where we bicycle.

Lafayette is the town with the Iraq war memorial crosses placed on a hill across from the BART station.

I am guessing the editorial staff at Money Magazine craves uniformity and sterility in daily life.

Me, give me charm, messy messy charm.
