3. Greetings to the Nutmeg State
Where I live in the Ozarks is supposed to look a lot like Litchfield County. Hope your weather is like ours. Here it was warm enough to take off the winter coats. The ice has melted from the side of the mountains and is dripping on new green moss. Cardinals are doing their mating calls, and you can see the barest hint of color in the underbrush. And its still light at 4:35 Central Time!

7. Can't wait for Spring
March doesn't always guarantee we will have Spring weather but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

9. In Southwest Oklahoma
it's 68 degrees and the sun is still out at 5:44 pm.

I had to turn on the air conditioner for a short time today since we had people over for a late afternoon lunch and I had the stove/stovetop going full blast.

For anyone interested, here's what we ate.

Rotisserie chicken with a heinz 57-honey glaze
Fried (cornmeal) yellow squash
Fresh asparagus in a lemon-butter sauce
French fries
Fresh strawberries and fresh cantaloupe
Salad
Crusty garlic french bread
