Attention scrabble players: "sipe" is a word

Came across it in a book and had to look it up. And there it was! It's a cut in a tire tread to channel away water. Also a verb: to cut across a tire.

I never heard of the word in my life. It was placed in the dictionary seconds before I looked it up.

Or... if somebody has the word "sip" with an open end, you can put in another word using the "e".
