1. kids are plenty cute, parents are a bit messed up
Kate is awfully anal about really trite things, don't know if that comes with having 8 young kids.

2. I love that show and have no idea why you'd call it a trainwreck.
They are AMAZING parents. Perfect? No. But I love that they're not pretending to be perfect. No one else on the planet's perfect - they are very "real" and I appreciate that. Their children are very, very lucky to have them. I couldn't even PRETEND to do as well as they do with 8 children.

4. I adore the kids but hate the way Kate is
she claps her hands at her hubby and bosses him around.

If I did that, my hubby would be gone.

I can imagine it is a harrowing day having so many kids, but sometimes she comes off as quite mean to the kids

when the kids grow up and see the footage of them making fun of their lisp or calling the artwork horrible...

3. The ads for it annoy me - I've never watched it
The concept of having eight children just stuns me. Then I heard about the family with what is it now? Sixteen or something? Words fail me.

5. Can't tell most of them apart
The twins are dressed the same, the sextuplet girls are the same, and the boys are the same. What's the deal with that?

6. she wants them that way
its part of her "OCD"

she even makes them late for things if they don't all have matching jackets or shoes

7. That is a fantastic show. Why do you think it is a trainwreck?
Those kids are adorable. Kate gets a little screechy at times, but it's obvious that she adores those kids.

Although, at times, I myself could kill Maddy.

8. My wife loves the show and I watch it occasionally
I think Kate's candor is part of the appeal - she does not put on some TV-friendly persona, and I think every long term couple in the world has had the snippy moments they do.

And you can see when John's tuning out. That's kind of funny.

10. I think those babies are beyond cute.
But, more power to her and Jon. I sure couldn't do it.

:hi:

9. My 5 year old niece really loves the show.
I haven't seen it but hearing her describe it to me was fun.
