I got my flag lapel pin!
And it was made in the US! :woohoo:

All right, so it was made 32 years ago...

2. Started around 9-11.
Then Hannity at Faux made a racket about those HE doesn't like not wearing one.
Especially "the democrat party" and Obama.

4. Garage sale.
5 cents.

I was 16 that year, and the hucksters were driving me nuts, with the Bicentennial crap.

6. five cents? may be worth just that in dollars, but you've got
a nostalgic gem.

Yes, I remember, too. I was thirteen and everything was "76" -- like Bass-O-Matic 76... ;)

7. The two worst offenders...
I remember from the Bicentennial:

1. A snack food advertized on TV that had the product flanked by two Revolutionary War drummers, and the jingle said "Has French fried flavor, and Yankee Doodle crunch"

2. A radio ad for pies, that had a "Pie-Centennial."

:grr:
