I've only seen the trailers, but for a historical standpoint, it looks like shit.

3. Well, for starters, there were no complex, sophisticated civilizations that far back.

Jericho, the oldest known city the remains of which survive to this day, was just a rudimentary settlement, with a low boundary wall and some wells, and that's it. Sumeria was still a few thousand years away. Egypt was four or five thousand years in the future. Woolly Mammoths were never used as beasts of burden; there's no evidence they were ever domesticated. Domesticated animals are key necessities in an agricultural society, and in 10,000 b.c., even agriculture was a thousand or two years away.

But the movie is supposed to entertain, and if it did that for you, then it was money well spent. B-)
