ROTLF "Conservative" "Crazy'" from the new game show "Password"
The password was "Liberal" The girl gave the hint "Conservative" to Vinnie from The Sopranos, (Steve Shirira?) and he said "Crazy"!

1. OK let me splain it some more. There is this new game show on teevee
And one person gives hints to another, (a celebrity) and the other tries to guess the word they are referring to. Like if the water is "hot" the person could say "cold" and hope the other ones says "hot". If they don't then the first person can give another hint.

So tonight was the first show and during the last segment the word "Conservative" was given and the woman said "Liberal". To which Vinnie from the Sopranos, (the celebrity) said "crazy" as it was the first thing that popped in his head.

Get it?

Maybe you just had to be there.

2. we started watching tonight's episode-
but then I got a phone call and was distracted. I'm sorry I missed that! did the audience laugh? I did think that Sarah Evans wasn't a great clue-giver. I would have hated to have been her partner! Vinnie seemed better at clue-giving. I watched the original show with Alan Ludden (that should tell you how old I am!) and really enjoyed it then. I'm glad they've brought it back-

3. It got a big laugh but I bet some weren't laughing. He said, "I'm sorry
it's been a long day" but he was laughing when he said it. I think it was a great moment in teevee. And I don't usually like those shows.

6. I'm confused
I remember Password but in the OP, it sounded like the person responded "crazy" to the clue "conservative." But in this post, it sounds like the person responded "crazy" to the clue "liberal." What was the clue word?

8. They are supposed to use the word given them as a hint for the word
they are looking for. Like if the word is "white' the person may say "black" or if the word is "sink" the person may say "kitchen" The girl was trying to get Vinnie to say "conservative" by saying the word "liberal" but he blurted out "crazy" instead.

It was funny because he did not mean to say "crazy" but that was the first word that popped into his head.

9. It looks like you're confused.
Your explanation is directly opposite of the preceding post.

4. Everything old is new again
I just had to blink in bemusement when I read new game show "Password". I think I still have the 'home version' board game at home, from the original series.

Password originally aired for 1,555 telecasts from October 2, 1961 to September 15, 1967 on CBS daytime, along with two primetime runs from January 2, 1962 to September 9, 1965 and December 25, 1966 to May 22, 1967. An additional 1,099 daytime shows aired from April 5, 1971 to June 27, 1975 on ABC.
