This weekends photo-thread. "The fishies that got away"..

Ali and I went snorkeling today. We left the kayak at home and returned to Point Vicinte. This is the first time we snorkeled from shore instead of from our yak. On the way out we picked our way over partially submerged boulders and swam out holding our flippers in our hand during lulls in the waves. Coming in was very tricky because the waves picked up, and we had to keep our flippers on to power to the shore between sets.

Today we found our first sea slugs and thought we took a lot of pictures of them. Unfortunately our camera shut it's self off and we did not realize we took at least a hundred shots with our camera off!

My Nikon won't let me take any pics if it's off...or if I can't focus...

2. It has a power saving setting and powers down after a very short time.

We did not know it was off. The waterproof case makes it difficult to see the display screen so we just point and shoot underwater.
