1. Woohoo! On a related note, my Rockies continue to suck!
Wait... That's not good! That's not good at all! x(

2. The entire NL West sucks
But we beat the Angels, who (a.) pwn us (they'd won 11 of 13) and (2.) came into the game 48-32 and 26-14 on the road.

Note that the Snakes are in first place at .500.

4. That's the one thing that still gives me hope...
My Rox play in the NL Worst, so we could still somehow manage to win the division.

Of course, we probably need to send Jimenez down to the minors so he can find his control again because he's stinking up the mound every time he takes the field these days.

5. We're supposed to get Furcal back within a couple weeks
He's goin' to Vegas for rehab. Dude was makin' that ball club go before his back went. Without him in the lineup, we're 17... well, now 18-28. So, 19-14 with him. In 32 games he had 16 RBI; the three shortstops who've filled in for him have four.

8. I just want Tulowitzki to return to form.
This has been a painful (emphasis on PAINFUL) sophomore season for him. He's been hurt, and he stinks at the plate. We miss the Tulo from last year... But, then again, nothing could ever really match what happened last year... I jsut hope he finds his stroke soon, and that Clint Barmes can start contributing again now that he's not hurt.

9. Every time Rick Monday says 'Barmes'
I think he's saying "Varmus" and I think "varmint" and a picture of Yosemite Sam pops into my head.

:D

But, yeah — I recall Tulo getting a well-placed hit or three last year.

10. That sounds about right.
:sigh: Maybe next year will be better...

After the '07 Series I thought the Rockies could be like the 2004 Cardinals - swept by the Sox, had an off year, then came back and won the World Series in 2006.

A man can dream, you know...

11. Baseball's aBout dreams
I swear, I think I like March better than the regular season.

Well... except April. And August/September, if we're in it.

July's pretty cool, too.

:)

7. At least I was alive for the Bums' last two seasons
In fact, I probably saw Don Larsen's perfect game against 'em in the '56 Series on teevee.

Don't remember it, though. :)

13. Twelve
It was 3-0 before it started, then Erick Aybar hit the first pitch of the game for a nine-run homer. :(

15. I thought it was 5-0 as of 3 minutes before the game...
Coming back and winning from a 14 run deficit is nothing short of amazing.

:P

In other baseball news, Coco Crisp is only suspended for five games instead of seven after instigating what MLB is calling "a bench-clearing fracas" after being hit by a pitch in the last series against the Rays.
