I may not smoke Weed - but I love "Weeds" - the great show on Showtime

My friend bought the first season when it came out and one bored weekend I borrowed it just to see what it was about. It was so fucking funny!!

I still don't have Showtime but as soon as the new season is available for rental I rent & watch it. I've just finished the first 2 discs for season #3 and absolutely loved it!

I think Doug & Dean are the funniest guys on the show especially when they're hanging out with Andy - they just get into some really hilarious shit! I was also suprised at how good Mary-Kate Olsen was on the show - she played a fundie chick who justified smoking pot since it was all-natural. She was actually quite good!

Anyone else a fan of the show?

2. Just finished watching Season 3.

I love Shane & Isabelle. Out of the mouths of babes. Matthew Modine was deliciously slimy as Sully. Conrad is my secret TV boyfriend.

4. We just started season two

It's on NetFlix instant viewing, so we're catching up.

We really enjoy it.

5. I loved the first two seasons but I started season 3 and just

wasn't in the mood anymore so I stopped watching about 20 minutes into the first episode. I will try season 3 another time when I am in a more receptive mode. I can be picky when it comes to comedy, it's a mood thing.

8. Season 3 starts off a bit slow but it picks up once Matthew Modine & Mary-Kate Olsen start in

13. I still love the series though. I consider it one of the funniest and

most clever shows ever. My problem was I took a break after watching season 2 and watched ALL of "Lost" and I mean every existing episode so the transition from that dark show to the lighthearted comedy of Weeds wasn't happening. I will probably try again in a few weeks. :hi:

It's gotten better, but sometimes it feels like they are trying to hard to push the line.

it's so worth it. Plus, there's Californication, which is David Duchovny and it's awesome. And the new show right after Weeds...Secret Diary of a Call Girl...seems like it has promise as well. And Showtime On Demand is the most fabulous invention ever. Well, next to HBO On Demand, which we also have... :P

On edit: OMG and DEXTER!!! Duh. Yes, Dexter also makes it worth it.

28. I preferred Californication to Weeds

when its first season was running after season three of Weeds. Weeds is still a great show though.

Showtime is really the better channel for original content right now than HBO.

27. If you watch the show - there isn't that much weed smoking going on

I think I've seen Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) smoke pot once in the entire show and that's when she sampled the MILF brand she grew. Of course you see Doug, Dean & Andy smoke it but they're a bunch of idiots. Silas & Tara smoke it from time to time but when Shane & Isabelle smoked it - they didn't get it at all. And of course Celia won't smoke it (she drowned that entire crop) but she will get shitfaced on Martinis
