16. Divorce is always difficult

I know you are divorcing after a long marriage.
me? Single more of my life than married, but...

Had to chase down #s 2 and 3 just ot finish things.
#2 took 11 months before I found him in another state, and had to get chewed out by his GF at the time who told me stop hassling him :eyes:
Told her to butt out, and if she wanted him, Great! Just let him get single again, and I will go away!

# 3 had to actually hire someone to find him...even his att'y didn't know where he had disappeared to. That one took 2 years.

So, do it, sweetie...it's so much harder when it drags on.
You are not the bitch, not in any way, shape or form.
If anything, you are being the strong one.

17. An Interesting Juxtaposition

My stbx thinks it is horrible if I were to serve her papers and that she needs to serve them on me because it makes her look like something is wrong socially.

You feel like you are being a b*tch if you serve him.

I honestly don't understand either position to tell the truth.

The stbx can have it, she gets to pay the filing fee.

He left you, it seems logical that you would be the one to file based on his actions. JMO

At any rate, I know it isn't the who that does it that makes any difference in the long run, it is just fucking hard however it comes about.

Hang in there lost, you do what you need to do to take care of yourself. Not sure why it seems harder for you to do that in this situation except that it was a long term relationship.

As Nelly said, do it! You don't want to have to track him down somewhere down the road.
