I'm all for the evolution of English, but you gotta wonder what that person was doing all thru school...

And here are two mispronunciations that could make me violent:

"Ree-li-tee." For Realty. Are 40% of people I meet dyslexic?

And this is the worst: "Pitcher" for a photograph. A pitcher either stands on the mound and throws a baseball, or else stands on a table as it's filled with water. A "Picture" is an illustration or a photo.

17. Well, "realty" can be difficult, like "nuclear" and can problematic with accents and dialects

And when even the TV commercials can't pronounce words right, that's another reason why we end up with these weird and just plain wrong pronunciations.

For example, in various fastfood commercials, the spicy pepper known as "chipotle" ("cheh-Pote-lee") is all to often pronounced "cheh-pol-tee"! Now, if you're trying to advertise a product, wouldn't it make sense to find someone that can pronounce the main spice ingredient? ;)
