Sweet sweet Vicodin.
Well, I managed to make a 7 day supply last 32 days...I'm pretty proud of myself.

I took the last of it tonight for my arm pain...so tomorrow I have to call and try to get a refill or something else for the pain.

Oh well, insurance should pay for Vicodin because it is CHEAP, the bastards.

I hate taking it though...doesn't really get to the cause of the problem.

2. Except that....
it masks the pain so well, I am afraid of injuring it further when I am working.

3. doesn't cure 'em just makes you not give a shit about 'em
I take it pretty often for fibromyalgia, arthritis and herniated disks and as I explained to the doctor it doesn't really make the pain go away it just makes me not care that I'm in pain. But maybe that's just me. I'm sitting here working with my lower back killing me and debating the merits of having one right now.

6. I take it, but it only takes the edge off of the pain, and doesn't eliminate the pain entirely
I tried acupuncture, but I had to pay for that out of my own pocket. One visit did not elimiminate the pain. Possibly with numerous visits, it could, but there is no way I have the money to afford that...even if it means eliminating the pain. It would come to my electricity being turned off or some other really necessary utility.

So, I know what you mean. I hate the crutch and would rather end the problem making me having to take it in the first place.

Hang in there.
