9. My twins both got married last year.

One had a picture frame theme. The other had a wine theme. They did this because the shower was really just an excuse for a party and they wanted to make it easy on their guests -- something that they could use and that can be easy to find and inexpensive. Wedding etiquette says you have to bring gifts to showers. :shrug:

is it a kitchen shower, or linen shower?

I've been to both, but not recently. But then, getting plastered at a bridal shower is a new one to me! What ever happened to lady-like tea sandwiches and punch? :shrug:

12. Another idea

We did a recipe, cookbook theme. You get a binder and ask people to put their favorite recipes on a specific size card, then they get put into the book while everyone drinks tea or gets drunk, depending on which kind of shower you're havin'... LOL! Get a cookbook that's one of your kitchen staples, get one that fits the happy couple's taste (pun intended) :)

I've been to lingerie showers, kitchen gadgets, sex toys (always fun to see the grannies' and great aunts' reactions), let's see... oh, for a first time home owners you can do stuff ya don't necessarily think of but you need, garden house, snow shovel, lawn bags, yard tools, you get the idea.

13. yes, all of those and then the ones like...

a stock the bar party or the oddball "Around the Clock" shower where everyone is given a certain room of the house and a time of day and you are supposed to come up with something clever that the people will DO at that time of the day in THAT room, lol. Such as 10:00 am in the bathroom. Hmmm...let me think...
