1. Watched a few of the episodes today.
I will watch the rest when I get home.

I forgot how good the show was.

2. Much of what he went over is still relevant.
It stands the test of time.

Carl is truly missed.

5. I don't know how I missed it.
When this show was made we had no personal computers or cell phones.

The shows are still good.

If you have a DVR, looks like the whole series will continue to play. It is 11 eastern.

:)
Now he is talking about how looking at the stars is looking back in time.

9. There's some Brian Eno in there as well
Snippets taken from Music For Films. I highly recommend that CD.

10. Funny enough, I am playing a new computer game called "Spore"
And Brian Eno did the music for that, as well.

11. I'm probably the last person in the world to realize this, but...

...I'm sure Hugo Weaving must have based Agent Smith's voice in the Matrix movies on Carl Sagan. Watching Cosmos again tonight after so many years, it's almost a perfect impersonation. I keep expecting Carl to say, "Percival Lowell believed he saw canals on the surface of Mars...Mr. Anderson."
