He's 13.
He says he wants to paint an intersection in town - and I think he has something surreal in mind.
I want him to try this. I'm not sure how it will come out, but to borrow Dylan's line: "There's no success like failure, and failure's no success at all"
If I could paint, I would do a painting similar to his, but my painting would be religious in nature.
I would call it, "The Martyrdom by Piercing of Saint Amory with tie rods by the Jersyians at Elizabeth."
It would be derivative inasmuch as it would end up looking like one of those Saint Steven paintings, like this one:
Except mine would involve engine blocks on pulleys where the angel is, and the background landscape would be a junk yard, and then there would be the tie rods.
Maybe I should just leave the painting to my son.
