Just saw The Strangers.

8. It's a horror film about a couple who come home from a wedding reception...

And find themselves terrorized by a group of people in masks. Like I said before, it's really psychological, rather than gory, and it is super creepy. I was quite impressed.

5. That movie is amazing.

A film is really scary when the fear is psychological, and not just 'boo! haha, made you jump'.

Beautiful direction, script, scenery, etc etc etc.

I have it on DVD.

Love it.

20. Slant, whom I consider very reliable, gave it 3 out of 4 stars.

It's by no means a perfect film, and I think a lot of peole will be looking for more closure than the film gives, but the direction, acting, cinematography and all thatare great. I can't think of another film that establishes mood as intensely as The Strangers does.

The dude who directed the original Funny Games.

The scenario is similar, but the execution is quite different.
