I am on a decluttering mission. I figure if I can spend about an hour a day decluttering, I should be through my house and garage in a couple of weeks.

I am going to be getting rid of stuff, because I feel like I am drowning in it.

5. No
Brought some stuff into the house that belongs in the house. Put stuff in recycling and trash cans that belonged there. Put the stuff I am ridding myself of along the wall, to be donated to the next charity that is coming around to pick up.

Just curious, Nosy Nelly that I am :P

If I have to move again, I know I will be minus A LOT of things I have now.

Am holding another garage sale either this weekend or next.
Never advertise...just put up signs..the shoppers always show up.

10. I'm still on that mission from ohmygawd
as in ohmygawd, I cannot believe I still have all this stuff.

my younger son and I went through all his stuff/room and decluttered/sorted. his room is so neat I feel sort of dizzy when I see it. I told him the two of us would have to help his older brother - who is a total packrat and who has problems getting organized/sorted b/c of his aspergers. I know he still has a 3-d five foot whale made out of paper that he did for a project when he was in elementary school. rather than clean off his desk, he's been going into my room with his laptop so he's not sitting on the floor while he's online.

I also sorted out a brazillion papers from grad school. I have to save some stuff. some not.

but, until I can get my stuff sorted for a garage sale, the garage sale is in my garage. I'm hoping for next weekend. I have to check the weather first and get through my son's room.

32. Yeah, I know how that goes.
I totally just bit the bullet today and started. I figure if I put in 1-2 hours a day on decluttering my house, I should be decluttered sometime in the next two weeks. That would make me very happy.

34. I am, eventually!
:P

I can really only do 1-2 hours a day right now, with the heat and my "issues" (:eyes: I get really annoyed with my limitations).

So, I figure it is going to take a couple of weeks to tackle my entire house.

39. I will.

I am getting better at listening to my body when it is telling me to stop. Some people would probably say that I am lazy... but I can only do so much before it hurts me to the point of not being able to do anything for a week. I figure I am better off doing a little at a time every day, than a monumental amount and not able to do anything else for a long period of time.

Can you tell I am really annoyed with myself and my problems?

16. I'm right there with you.
My wife loves the thrift stores. Over the last five years, my basement and garage got filled with stuff. Not junk, it was good stuff. Like a dozen or so of the same casserole dishes, Tupperware serving containers, furniture (two, count 'em, two dinettes), sometimes exercise equipment that was never used, and on and on and on.
Over Memorial Day weekend and the weekend after that, we had a yard sale. Got $700 out of it and we still have stuff to get rid of.
I like money as much as the next fat person, but I loved getting rid of that stuff even more. It was win/win.
