What Sport Do You Enjoy Watching
I used to watch NBA all the time, went to Blazer games almost every game, sometimes the hotel
that I used to book , invited me to their suite
I went to Chicago once to watch Bulls/Blazers
Salt Lake to watch Jazz/Blazers

Now I will only watch the finals, and this last game was good, but I dont watch basketball anymore, never liked watching football, and baseball, only the world series, Nascar is boring as hell
So the only thing I watch is golf..............

39. Couples is a bit of a dick
At least he was the day I met him. I hesitate to paint somebody based on one encounter, though.

He co-designed a course just outside of town and every year he hosts a four-man "skins game"-type tournament there. The year I went, it was Couples, Craig Stadler, John Daly and an Australian whose name escapes me. The Walrus and the Aussie were cool; Daly was nucking futs (he was trying to hit cars from the driving range) and Couples seemed rather... impatient. Maybe he just doesn't like dealing with the press.

34. I pity you Lions fans. I really do.
I'm a lifelong Browns fan and we've had our share of frustration, but at least every generation or so we get a little success. You poor guys hardly ever get anything. You've had a lifetime of frustration. Nothing ever seems to work.

If the Lions ever get it together I'd root for them if the Browns were irrelevant. It'd be great to see the Detroit Lions get some real deserved respect. You're certainly long past due.

I'm excited this year because the Browns are finally having some success and we have every reason to expect the playoffs. It's a good feeling to have that kind of anticipation and I hope you guys get to experience that real soon.

They're really counting on him heavily to transform the D-line. If he doesn't perform, that'll be a huge disappointment. I really don't know that much about his character, but I suspect if there is a problem, it'll have something to do with a bad attitude. I hope not.

I don't care what you nay-sayers proclaim, watching poker is a hoot! Especially once you get to know the 'big name' personalities that usually make it to the championship tournament tables. I love rooting against Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, for example.

It's certainly not as much fun as playing poker, but I bet watching it has improved my poker game more then football fans games improve from watching the Superbowl. :)

BTW, this is a fun free on-line 3D poker site: www.pkr.com

53. I like watching football, baseball, and hockey on TV... and sometimes I'll even watch golf.
But the truth is, watching football, baseball, and hockey on TV isn't even REMOTELY as good as being at the game live - especially with hockey. In football and hockey when you're at the games you have a much better view so you can see the plays develop and the game seems to move more fluidly than it does on TV.

As for baseball, I love going to baseball games more than anything else. The atmosphere, the crack of the bat, the excitement in the close games... There's nothing better. I still hate myself for it, but last October when things played out so the Rockies would host the Wild Card play-in game against San Diego, I was on the Rockies website with tickets reserved for that game, and I didn't buy them because I didn't think I could get to the stadium in time after work. That is my single biggest regret ever, ebcause the Rockies won that game 9-8 in 13 innings on a play at the plate.

Shoulda bought those tickets...

Or one of three. When I was stationed in Germany in the Army, we used to get British television, and I would watch the cricket matches. I had one friend who was born on Grenada and another who was born on St. Kitts, and they were avid cricket fans. We all used to follow the ins and outs of international matches together. When we talked about the results in the company of non-cricket fans, they all used to give us the weirdest looks: "What ARE these guys talking about?"

Ironically, it's the sport that translates to tv the worst of all (being there is way better). Football, on the other hand, is great on tv, but sucks in person.

And I don't mind watching golf either. :)
