I just saw "The Incredible Hulk" - ask me anything!
Edited on Wed Jun-18-08 08:16 PM by jtg33
Had a rough couple of days at work so far this week, so I decided to treat myself to a movie today after work, and believe you me, it was well worth the $7.75 matinee price I paid!

8. Well, he certainly smashes a lot when he is smashing stuff.
Which, interestingly enough, isn't always. They did a good job of showing Bruce Banner's conflict, wanting to be rid of this creature, doing all sorts of things to try and keep his heart rate down so he doesn't transform.

When he DOES transform, oh yeah... Hulk smash LOTS!

4. After Iron Man, I was sick of the superhero vs bigger superhero fight at the end
but I sort of liked the sub-plots. It needed more anger, in my opinion. That's what I liked about the first one. The first one failed because there was too much drama, this one was okay because it skipped all that crap, but went too far in the opposite direction.

Then again, I've never read a Hulk comic, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

10. Norman invasion? n/t
Edited on Thu Jun-19-08 12:22 AM by Common Sense Party
Close enough.

On edit, from wikipedia:

The Norman conquest of England began in 1066 AD with the invasion of the Kingdom of England by the troops of conqueror Guillaume Le Conquérant (William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy), and his success at the Battle of Hastings resulted in Norman control of England. The Norman Conquest was a pivotal event in English history for several reasons. This conquest linked England more closely with continental Europe through the introduction of a Norman aristocracy, thereby lessening Scandinavian influence. The invasion of England created one of the most powerful monarchies in Europe and engendered a sophisticated governmental system. The conquest changed the English language and culture and set the stage for a rivalry with France that would continue intermittently for the next millennium.
