Give a listen to some free music by my father-in-law! (Singer/songwriter, country/folk-rock)

Above is a link to "We've Never Been This Close," a collection of songs by my father-in-law, Ray Duerr. You can stream the album, or download it in one of four different formats (FLAC, 64Kbps mp3, VBR mp3, and Ogg Vorbis). Below is the short explanation I've written about the album. Please give it a listen. Hope you enjoy it!

A disclaimer: Ray Duerr is my father-in-law. He had some minor success in the Central Pennsylvania area with the Ray Duerr Band in the 1970s and 80s. (He was also roommates with Ward Stout, fiddle player for Aaron Tippin.) About 8 years ago, he suffered a stroke, and hasn't been able to play music since. His friends took a number of multitrack recordings he had made before the stroke, finished them (where necessary), and compiled this collection. The music goes from rock to country to country rock to singer/songwriter...a little something for everybody. I strongly encourage you to give it a listen, and if you like it, pass it along to a friend. (Heck, pass it along to a friend if you DON'T like it.) And if you know somebody in "the biz" who might be interested in recording these songs, even better.

22. Hard question...
I've asked my wife the same question, but since she grew up with a lot of these songs, she can't really pick a "best." Actually, my favorite song of his isn't in this collection, unfortunately. Out of this collection, I tend to lean toward the upbeat tunes like "Holy Moses."

He's not better, no. He can walk and talk, etc., but not like he used to.
