Poll question: Should they sell beer in a 2 liter bottle?
I'm beginning to think that the 12 oz beer is wasteful packaging. Whenever I go to a friend's house to drink some beer, we always end up with at least 5 empties. We might as well have had a single 2 liter bottle instead. You could consider it the equivalent of a pitcher, just waiting in your fridge.

4. The 40 is like one of those annoying little pitchers at some bars. It also costs more...
than the 24 oz cans usually.

I know because I have comparison shopped for Steel Reserve 211

20. $2.29 for the 40 is not a good deal when the 24 is 99¢
Edited on Tue Jun-17-08 01:29 PM by JVS
Of course the $5.68 12 pack of 12 ozers is even better, and people love opening a fridge with that stuff in it.

21. It gets you fucked up fast, once you get over the taste
2 of the big cans are all it takes. 3 and you're playing with fire.

24. Go to a football tailgate with Steel Reserve or St. Ides instead of regular beer.
You'll have a much different experience. An experience that lets you understand how sports-riots start.

5. It would be just like picking up a 2 liter of coke, but intoxicatingly delicious.
Maybe some of the packaging savings could be passed on to us too!

10. Well, if you look at it from a stand point of keeping the beer colder
longer, you got to go with the smaller size.

16. Well we all shouldn't have to buy little beers just becaus you're dainty
They still sell 7ozers even though most people like 12's ok. There can still be some 12's but a cheap and luscious 2 liter would really help a lot of us out.

or Haffenreffer? Or Olde English 800 for that matter.

Sapporo used to have a 2 liter can.

I like the 5 liter mini kegs from Germany. Quite a deal.
