Mis-cast
Jim Carrey as Abraham Lincoln?
Will Smith as Martin Luther King?
perhaps Kevin Kline as Adolph Hitler?

I am stunned at the possibilities...and shudder at the likelihood, at any rate.

Name the completely mis-cast mistakes that Hollywood will eventually make or might seriously be thinking of already. Thinking of some of the ones they've already made is enough for anyone to give up watching films.

1. Kevin Kline's a good enough actor, he could probably pull it off.
He doesn't quite have the look, but I'd trust him with the role.

12. "Larry the Cable Guy in 'Stink & Stinkability.'"
It's sad because if you pitched it, it would probably get made.

3. Hell, we've already had
Harvey Keitel as Judas Escariot - a truly "yonder lies the castle of my fadda" choice. And John Wayne as Genghis Khan.

How about Halle Berry as Harriet Tubman?

10. For Scorsese's treatment of the story, Keitel was smartly cast
I grant that he would fit poorly with a Cecil B. DeMille version, but that's another matter.

4. The Superman franchise has dodged a couple of bullets.
I think Chris Walken was up for the role in the 70's and Nic Cage's name was thrown around for years.

15. I wonder if DC ever published an "Elseworlds" mini
with Tim Burton's proposals. be interesting to read, but I think everyone kind of breathed a sigh of relief that an entire movie wasn't done.

man, that guy can't act. every role he's played he's basically just Elijah Wood in some new situation - kinda like the male version of Julia Roberts.
