The bread is now in the oven cooking. And in 30 minutes we'll see what I get.
Yeah...that's right. My first loaf without the bread machine. So far, everything appears to be going well and it smells yummy, but the proof of the bread dough is is in the eating.

3. i have to disagree here. hot, but butter only. that is the true test of bread...
and you can even skip the butter.

a truly great bread will be the one you can cut the hot end off and bite into. it will have the greatest taste you have ever experienced.

i love bread.

I make mine in the Cuisinart. It does the mixing.

I have never owned a bread machine.

Other people swear by a Kitchen Aid industrial strength mixer.
