Looking for actual support of the "rising limb". So far, most of the data suggests that the countries contributing to that rising limb are really not doing much for conservation. Additionally, they're doing lots of damage outside of their own borders, which isn't reflected in the EKC relationship.

24. I understand that...In our research on Mexico,

it appears that the EKC hyp. holds true, but we didn't attribute that to NAFTA producing higher incomes/higher enviro. quality, and presumed that there were confounding factors that we couldn't account for. Finding this type of data is a bitch! Esp. with less developed nations. Sooo many variables. :crazy:

Not to mention biased data and data withheld by gov'ts. Grrrr.
