1. Try opening a can of cat food or rattling a bag of treats (if you have any)
I guess tuna would work too. I know she's little.

3. Once you get her, I seriously recommend that you give her space of her own
to establish a safe zone and get used to the surroundings. Put her in a room by herself and slowly introduce to the rest of the house and the other critters. A new home is traumatic.

Good luck. She's a beaut.

4. leave her alone
she probably needs some quiet time/space . . .

the more you TRY to get her to come out, the more likely she'll stay.

6. We got Sunflower when he was about her age
We blocked all the entryways to the washer/dryer area, refrigerator, etc. with pillows and towels so he wouldn't crawl somewhere where we couldn't reach him. He's 10 months old now and I still haven't pulled out the stuff, although I think he's too big to get behind/under things now. You might try that so she won't do that again.

7. poor baby
new kitties will try to find a safe quiet space when they come home for the first time. New environment can be very scary. My mother's officemates decided she needed a new kitten after she had mourned her departed cat for a while, so they made an office presentation of a new one. Kind of nervy to presume that you can pick a life companion for someone else imo. But anyway it was a big mob scene with people whooping and cooing and the cat promptly withdrew into the ventilation system and apparently it took some doing to retrieve her. The ending is a happy one ... the cat came out, went home with Mom and the two have been very happy together for about 13 years so far, bonded like Epoxy.

8. A couple of years ago
when my guys were new, Grayson (the Intrepid) got himself behind the refrigerator.

Now this refrigerator is wedged in there. It took two guys to push it into the too narrow slot. No way could I move it out on my own.

Sooo, I got out my longest (and rattiest) beach towel, dangled it down behind the fridge, and enticed scared little kitty with sweet soothing sounds... and the shaking of dry food in one hand while I held the towel with the other hand. He grabbed on. I hauled away until he was within reaching distance and then grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and hauled his furry ass the rest of the way out. That was his first and last trip behind the fridge.

9. That's pretty normal.
I remember when my family brought one cat home (she got smuggled out of the county jail- kind of a long story) she wound up hiding under the dishwasher overnight before she felt comfortable enough to start making herself at home.
