So, CMW and I have this friend who is a little bit "car proud."
Edited on Sat May-31-08 07:43 AM by Heidi
Whenever he and I go anywhere together, my friend D parks his car miles blocks away from our destination so that other drivers won't ding his ride with their car doors. He keeps his pride and joy in pristine condition and when he comes to our house, he checks on the car regularly, just to make sure everything's okay.

When D was here Thursday, he took a peek at his car and called to CMW and me to come outside: "Not good. Ginger is the _only_ cat who has _ever_ done this."

Instead of getting Ginger off of the car, I ran inside to get the camera.

For the record, this is how seriously Ginger takes Uncle D's "car emergency":

1. lol
Obviously Ginger is helping your friend out in a couple of ways..First keeping birds away from sullying the car with their droppings...AND helping detail it because, you know, nothing is complete without a bit of cat hair....;-)

9. So does our Zsa Zsa
But she gets grumpy if you try to move her and make the bed up. Which is fine by me, I hate making the bed.

21. actually, this is a SERIES comment. My boys no longer go out, and I have noticed a
marked increase in bird bombings on my windshields.

Methinks the birds are getting too cockey?

I don't want to put them back out, I hate the flea wars and I don't have to worry about them if they don't show up at night when I am ready to go to bed.

so I am sure they spooked the birds just enough...

oh well. That is what the squee gee at the gas station is for.

14. They know..
after my wife finished her student days and started full time at the hospital we bought a nice car as a celebration and necessity.

The old car never attracted our cats, but the new one drew them in. They still sit on it to this day.

Worst thing to do is yell at them, then they scratch it. Best to just leave them...

However, our friend is not a cat lover, and he doesn't understand that admonishing a cat is the _last_ tactic you wanna try.

18. There is nothing like finding little kitty pawprints on your car
I sometimes find them made in pollen on my car by the neighborhood cats. I feel slightly injured and yet delighted at the sight of them, as with any feline transaction.
