Poll question: When did you start going gray?
I just found my first gray hair (I'm 24)! It seems kind of young to me, but my mom swears it runs in her side of the family. So, now I'm wondering about other people...

7. My dear margotb822!
I pulled my first white hair out of my head at the tender age of 19!

It was a very gradual progression, though...

Now I'm completely silvery-haired, and loving it!

This is me:

23. I'm well on my way
I have plenty of gray sprinkled throughout my head at age 33, I don't expect to make it to 40 with much brown left.

At least I'm not losing any of like other men in the family.

11. Started turning when I was about 22
Been dyeing it longer than I had it natural. Though at one time I had more of an auburn red naturally, and I liked that color. Have never been able to get it right since then.

For some damned reason, when my hair is really short, people think I'm blonde and I get exasperated because I'm a red head. But now I'm really a gray head, and I hate it. I was just looking in the mirror and noticed that I have a good 3/4" of gray/white coming up--yikes! I have to color this weekend, I guess.

13. Like you, I was 24.
And it wasn't gray hairs throughout my hair, it was a streak of white hair at my widow's peak. My daughter called it my wisdom streak. :)

14. no grey here...
.... but I am really starting to go bald. I'm 29 now, but I started losing my hair around age 17. It's only since about age 25 that it's really noticeable, but it's gotten much worse over the last year.

20. found my first when I was 18
I used to pull them out. I don't now for fear of going bald. The women in my family have a tendency to lose their hair so I'm gonna keep the grays. They're nice and thick and wiry, with a hint of curl to them. I only have three right now. I am now 34.

21. about 19
Odd thing was that it started on top and worked its way down, the reverse of the usual progression.

22. 17.
and it's only in my face stubble...which is the only golden-blonde hair on my body.

All my body hair is course and jet black. The hair on my head is naturally dishwater-colored (a neutral-blondish-brown), except I'm going to dye it blue-black.

Go figure?

24. I'm 24 and usually have two or three grey hairs at a time
(At least, that I notice; I'm sure there are a few more.) I've been getting them since I was about 22.

(And yeah, I spelled "grey" like I'm British or something. I guess that's pretentious of me, being from TX and all, but I just think it looks pretty that way. haha)
