and what it will take to repair it. In NYC the costs of labor and material vary from one business to the next. It is not possible to tell you what it will cost until the unit is tested. The best someone can do is to quote labor rates - again, a local condition.
is the AC unit or the blower? A fuse? Is it a heat pump? It's really hard to say what it's going to cost because it could be something very simple or if it's serious, depends on the type of unit.

It's going to cool off for the next few days. Maybe that will give you time to find someone before it cranks up again by the end of next week. We're still using fans right now but it's a little warm in the house. 80 degrees.
is the fan blowing at all? what does it do when you turn it on? is the heat controlled by the same thermostat and does the heat work? is it two separate units (a heater and an A/C) or is there only one?
