Some prayers, good thoughts, kind words, whatever for my wife please

[The Straight Story]

She is really sick. Heading to the clinic tomorrow.

Her asthma has kicked in, she probably has pneumonia, and the tremors from her Parkinson's in her throat make it hard for her to talk well these last two days.

A little blood in her urine, and she has been throwing up a lot w/some blood.

Been hoping it will pass as it usually does, but has been this way longer than usual. She is hanging in there, watching her hockey games and trying to make dinner and such (made a rocking homemade spaghetti and meatballs tonight) but it all wipes her out. I get home from work and she is down for the count, it is all she can do to get my daughter at the bus stop a few houses a way and make dinner (we ate out most of this week as cheap as we could, except tonight).

There seem to be multiple problems right now with her, and they are only getting worse.

She has Asthma, Parkinson's, and several other issues that crop up from time to time (she had cervical cancer twice, CFD, and so on).

And while it is all scary, we have lived with this for a spell. Comes and goes, just seems to be lasting longer and more pronounced each time.

She is weak and tired, and we are both a bit scared. As if bills after being laid off for months are not enough, we have this to deal with.

We both know she will never be the old AutumnMist she was (hiking the redwoods, tent camping, etc), but we at least want something more than her being in bed most the time and struggling just to make dinner (she loves to cook, and is damned good at it - one of those pleasures in life she has always enjoyed and excelled at).

Something has to give. Why the Lord couldn't curse me with this instead of her I will never know. But it is what it is, and I hope you can all brighten her day tomorrow when I show her this thread.

12. As much as I have typed here my friend

I have not even begun to chronicle what has transpired with us.

So many hopes and dreams, so much crazy shit. Some of my own making via bad decisions and depression after mom died, some not of my making.

Maybe things will get better. A new job, a new place, new hope. But there is a fear that lives in the back of my mind that haunts me like a ghost. Unseen, but heard late at night as I lay in bed.

All exacerbated by this world we live in now.

My view of life all came crashing down one cold December night, and it just does not seem to be getting better.

And the weird thing is, it is happening to the people I love - instead of to me. Would that I could be the one to suffer. For I would rather have great physical hell and pain than this psychological one.

Some nights, I just feel lost as hell. I try to be funny and fun, but I guess that is just my way of dealing. At least I can recover from what I am going through, Lord knows if she can.

Sometimes, I just want to break something.

she is so young and vital. I'm sorry she's sick. That damned Parkinsons is a wicked disease. And asthma. I had to take my son to the Dr yesterday for inhalers. He got one with steroid that was way expensive, even with insurance. He's allergic to the cats. Been wheezing up a storm. I'm sending you both healing vibes and keeping you in my thoughts.

I am certainly not educated enough medically to suggest anything; but, I do know that massages help everything. I hope you both try it. You sound like you need it, and I know your wife does. Of course, for her, a very gentle massage would be more helpful.

I can also highly recommend a heating pad for various stomach ailments and body aches. I use one, and it is very comforting.
