Today, in my liberal little beach town...
I saw my very first McCain for President bumpersticker...

Big old pickup truck...

Jacked waaaaaaaaay up on monster tires...

No other distinguishing stickers of note...

Yikes...

...:scared:

Anybody else seen any?

4. My dear zanne!
Um...

That would be a NO!

Yikes...

I'd be even more surprised to see either of those...

This is a pretty upscale community!

5. The only grassroots advertising I've seen is for Ron Paul
No McCain stuff yet but I'm expecting it. Repubs have a 2-to-1 registration in this district.

I would expect it too, with registrations like yours...

We have quite a few Republicans here, but they're pretty moderate!

7. Nope!
Well, not a McCain sticker anyway.

But I did see a ridiculously sized pickup truck this morning.

It looked like this beast:

Complete with semi-truck tires and dualies in the back! And brand new!

Now tell me: why would someone need that piece of shit in Los Angeles? It's absolutely GINORMOUS!

Oh, and it was parked at the Metro lot...so apparently, the driver's not thrilled about having to put gas in it. Go figure.

Omigod, that is too damn funny!

I can bet that owner is upset at the gas prices...

And even more upset at having to ride the Metro!

17. The best part is
it's clearly a brand new truck. Like, less than a year old. It's not like gas was cheap a year ago...why even buy that thing?!

And I'm pretty sure it's diesel, so they'd be paying well over $4/gal.

It's a new addition to the Metro parking lot. I park there every day and that thing stood out...I've never seen it before.

Anyway, gave me a heck of a good laugh this morning!

9. yikes is right, no
but there is a Mitt sticker that our small town's police officer's wife's minivan has had on it since last summer (they are Mormons). Also, a truck down the road has a 'Rush is Right' sticker :puke:

15. Out in the DMZ for the Sac Valley and the Liberal Bay Area I see the occasional Confederate Flag
Other than that, they love Arnie - but for the most part people are quiet with their politics.

16. My dear Taverner...
That's mostly how it is here, too...

No Confederate flags here, though...

I'm one of the few in my neighborhood that has bumper stickers...

Or yard signs, for that matter...Although those are becoming more common...

21. NorCal inland coast range
Lake Co.- a few Ron Paul, some Obama, some Clinton, have not seen one McCain sign anywhere (there may be a few, somewhere). Repub party seems to have shut down their office here and gone into hiding, perhaps for their own safety. People are pretty pissed at the nation's direction, even the usual "conservatives" (heard several discussing voting for Obama!).

Not many confederate flags; the original white families in Lake county came to escape the build-up to the Civil War. Most would probably endorse CA independence.

Not through violent means, mind you. I see it more like how Ukraine left Russia.

they're bound to crop up like so many disgusting weeds. There are still people here with "W04" stickers on their cars.

Scary.

Oh, I'm sure Texas will have more than its share of them!

I still see "W04" stickers now and then too...

I just want to ask them..."How's that working out for you?"

Yuck.

23. I saw this on the back of a car a couple of weeks ago...
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the President his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, three Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

Of course, it went nearly that for Gov. Strickland (D) in 06 too.

I hope it will stay blue this time as well!

...a lot more acceptable than national ones.
