that is, if you are setting your VCR, it will start 10:02 Eastern. Why? Because ABC loves to screw with the viewing habits of its audience and it thinks that it screws the competition. Thus, Gray's Anatomy is from 9:00 to 10:02 Eastern.

Because these machines download schedules and you can record 2 at once on some. What I think networks are trying to do is by moving a show ahead 2 minutes or running one long 2 minutes, or whatever, it will stop people from recording or watching other programs on other networks because it creates an slight time overlap and the software can't reconcile unless you cut one or the other off.

as I want to. Works especially well when, say Bush talks to the nation and I don't know when the program will start, so I can just give myself, say, 15 min. extra.
